This project comprises of taking portraits of strangers I encounter on a daily basis.
I aim to establish an indirect gaze between the camera and the object of the gaze by asking strangers to hold the mirror and pose for the camera.
In the culture that I grew up in, the mirror is a metaphor for a human-being’s heart. It is a medium that temporarily embodies and reflects the essence of life.
